Tanker Assist 42 Gap FC on a Brush/Woods Fire
Sat, Mar 23rd, 2013 1:11:00 pm - 13:11 hours Tanker 51 assist Station 42 Gap Fire Co, brush, 5085 Woodland Dr, Salisbury Township.  FF's Graybill & Kreider were in the area and advised Chief 42 (Wenger) of an approx. 2 acre rapidly advancing wind swept fire along the power line.  Chief 42 established command and requested 2 additional brush trucks and 3 additional tankers for assistance. Engine 45-2 bridged the fire gap on the power line road and began an attack on the north side.  Rescue 42, Brush 52-1, Brush 47 also assisted with lines.  Tankers 51, 45, 52-2 all went off road and supplied water to the scene.  The fire was contained and brought under control within 30 minutes. Squad 51-1 also responded with 5 additional personnel.
