BUILDING FIRE IN BART TOWNSHIP
Tue, Mar 11th, 2014 8:40:00 pm - Tuesday evening the Bart Volunteers (Station 51) along with Gap (42) Kinzer (45) Paradise (47) Christiana (52) fire companies and Christiana Ambulance (46) were dispatch for a reported building fire at 5285 White Oak Road in Bart Township.

Duty Officer, Assistant Chief 51 G. LeFevre was on the street right after dispatch and was advised by LCWC that the neighbor was report a paint and staining shop to be on fire. Fire Fighter C. Graybill was on the scene a few minutes after dispatch and reported a working fire in a 30' x 80' woodworking shop. Assistant 51 arrived and established Command 51.

Engine 51-1, 51-2 and tanker 51 were all on scene 5 minutes after dispatch, the crews did an interior attack on the fire, Truck 42 setup and cut open the roof to stop the fire from traveling across the peak of the building. Engine 45-2 setup a fill site on Old Dam Road to fill tankers.

All other units came in an assisted with fire attack and overhaul, the PSP Fire Marshal was called to investigate the cause of fire, the fire was roled accidental. After the fire marshal was done with his investigation the crews finished the overhaul and cleared the incident just after midnight.
