Another night, another barn fire. 🔥
Sunday night at 9pm, BTFC was dispatched to yet another barn fire, this time assisting Cochranville Fire Company on Thompson Road in West Fallowfield Township, Chester County. First arriving units confirmed a working fire in a large barn full of hay.
Engine 51-2 arrived on scene and assisted with fireground tasks, Tanker 51 (Woody) provided water to the scene, and Squad 51 set up a tanker fill site at a nearby pond. Due to a large amount of algea in the pond, the Squad soon relocated to another fill site at a hydrant. Utility 51 and fire police provided traffic control around the area.
All BTFC units were clear of the scene by midnight, with hose and equipment cleanup back at the station to follow.
