At 5:13 Tuesday evening March 31, BTFC was dispatched to assist the Quarryville Fire Company with a reported barn fire in the 600 block of Pumping Station Road in Colerain Township. First arriving units arrived and confirmed a barn fully involved in fire and began fire attack.
Engine 51-2 arrived soon after Engine 57-4 and Tower 57, and worked to contain the brush fire that was spreading away from the barn and assisted with various other fire ground operations after that. Tanker 51 (Woody) arrived and assisted Tanker 57 with setting up the nurse tanker setup at the end of the 1200' long driveway, and then hauled multiple loads of water to the scene. Squad 51's crew assisted in the manpower pool, and BTFC firepolice assisted with traffic control.
Engine 51-2 remained on the scene assisting with overhaul and cleanup and Tanker 51 continued hauling water before clearing the scene around 9pm.
