On Saturday afternoon, BTFC members gathered to work on transferring equipment from Tanker 51 onto Tanker 51-2 (Woody). Tanker 51 is scheduled to leave the beginning of next week to begin a months-long refurbishment project.
Members spent a few hours moving and mounting equipment on Tanker 51-2 to have it set up to operate as efficiently as possible as our primary water supply piece. Now that almost all equipment has been transferred onto it, Tanker 51-2 will be dispatched and responding using the callsign of Tanker 51 until the refurbishment project is completed.
